So, what’s been happening behind the scenes at WordWorx?

As 2024 draws to a close, we’re all cramming our work into the final few days. The past few months have been a time of reflection, growth, and exciting projects. Here’s a look at the work I’ve been doing, my new ventures, and what’s coming up next for my company, WordWorx.

🟧 Sustainability Magazine Projects

This quarter, I started two new sustainability magazine projects for long-term clients I’ve worked with for over five years. These magazines are designed to showcase sustainability initiatives and achievements and will be read by various stakeholders across the EU. It’s exciting to see these projects take shape and know they will play a key role in communicating the value of sustainability. Both publications will be complete by the end of the year.

🟧 Insights from Sustainability Leaders

I’ve conducted interviews with nearly 100 sustainability professionals across industries and regions throughout the year and quite some this last quarter, too. These conversations were part of my corporate communication and marketing work, which helps my clients better showcase their sustainability initiatives and journeys to various stakeholders. Below is an example of a corporate comms campaign I’ve been project managing from scratch. You can also read my blog post about these interviews.

🟧 Free 2025 Sustainability Content Calendar

With 2025 fast approaching, I created a Sustainability Content Calendar to help corporate communication and marketing professionals plan impactful ESG content. This resource ensures organisations cover key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics while tailoring the calendar to their unique needs.

🟧 Impactful Reports and Campaigns

This quarter’s highlight was completing a 72-page Impact Report for an education group, preparing them for CSRD compliance while communicating their sustainability achievements. I also created a landing page text for them to use on their website. Read more on my case studies page.

🟧 Professional Growth — Behind the Scenes

In November, I attended the International Search Summit in Barcelona, gaining insights into SEO, AI, and cross-cultural marketing. It was nostalgic, revisiting a city where I lived 12 years ago while working remotely in SEO and content writing. The summit reinforced the importance of adapting to new trends and technologies, inspiring fresh ideas for my clients.

🟧 On the Horizon — A New Book

I’m excited to share that I’m working on a new book to be released in Q1 2025. This project has been a labour of love, and I can’t wait to share it soon. Keep posted for further updates.

🟧 On the Personal Front

I prepared for winter this quarter and made some garden improvements to handle excess rain. I also tried to plant more rain-resistant varieties before winter. Gardening has also become a therapeutic outlet and hobby for me.

I also got myself a ‘Spullenbak’, which I’m excited about. The Spullenbak initiative in The Hague offers a simple way to support the circular economy by transforming old items like broken buckets, sheets, or socks into something new. I’m excited to fill the container with items for local makers to upcycle. Once full, the Municipality of The Hague provides a free pickup and replaces it with an empty bin. It’s an easy and impactful way to reduce waste and promote sustainability. Learn more or request your bin at www.spullenbak.nl.

🟧 Q4 In Close — Wrapping Up 2024

This quarter has been an exciting blend of creativity and strategy, from starting new projects to completing large marketing and communication campaigns. With a new book on the horizon and sustainability stories at the core of my work, I’m looking forward to 2025 with gratitude and enthusiasm.
