As a creative person, I love writing stories and poetry. A couple of years ago, I’ve been published in some actual printed books and literary journals. I’ve always tried to hide my creative writing as I was largely embarrassed. But the older I get, the more pride I take in my work (creative or professional) and the thicker my skin gets! Today, I discovered that one of my stories was published in a well-known South African literary journal, Botsotso, without me even knowing (I submitted the piece ages ago and apparently my email bounced or something!). The book is even being sold in some bookshops. Gives me even more inspiration to keep writing!
