As a growing company, we are seeking a talented and motivated student to join our team as a Social Media and Content Intern.
This paid internship will provide valuable hands-on experience managing social media channels, crafting compelling content, and maintaining brand consistency. You will also learn much about corporate communication, marketing, and Search Engine Optimization as an intern.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management
- Handle day-to-day management of all company social media platforms (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest etc.).
- Create and schedule engaging and relevant content to increase brand visibility and attract a larger audience.
- Monitor social media metrics and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Content Creation
- Brainstorm and propose creative and exciting ideas for blog posts, articles, and other content formats that align with WordWorx’s vision and goals.
- Write and curate captivating content that reflects the brand’s tone and style while adhering to SEO best practices (the latter can be learned on the job).
- Collaborate with the Director and marketing team (the latter who mostly operate remotely) to ensure timely and consistent content delivery.
- Utilise photography and basic videography skills to capture visual content for social media, blogs, and marketing campaigns.
- Brand Consistency
- Maintain a coherent and consistent tone and style of brand communication across all channels and content types.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure visual assets align with the brand identity and messaging.
- Collaboration
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather information and insights for content creation and marketing initiatives.
- Contribute to cross-functional projects and campaigns to support the overall company objectives.
Requirements
- Must be a registered student at a Dutch educational institution (only those with Dutch residency/student VISA and registered at a Dutch university or high education provider will be considered).
- Your university must allow internships at a small company (one-person company/ or zelfstandigen zonder personeel (zzp’ers)) – please double check this with your supervisor before applying;
- Very good to exceptional English language skills, preferably at a near-native level.
- Demonstrated interest in corporate communication, marketing, photography, and videography.
- Proficiency in photography and videography to create visually compelling content and openness to learn.
- Strong creative and critical thinking abilities, passionate about generating innovative ideas.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms and content management systems.
- Basic knowledge of SEO and content optimisation principles is a plus (although this can easily be learned on the job).
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- A proactive and self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience managing social media or content creation is advantageous but not mandatory.
Duration and Compensation
This is a paid internship in alignment with Dutch regulations and with a flexible working schedule. The internship will be for a minimum duration of 6 months (starting at mid/end of September 2023), allowing you to gain practical experience and valuable insights into the corporate communication and marketing industry.
